Shipping Methods

Orders to the United States 48 contiguous states and Canada are generally shipped via United Parcel Service (UPS). Customers may select Ground, 3 Day Select, or 2nd Day Air Service (different rates apply). Orders to Hawaii, Alaska and APO addresses are generally shipped via U. S. Postal Service Priority Mail. Foreign orders (other than Canada) are generally shipped via U. S. Postal Service Air Parcel Post of Global Priority Service (depending on size and weight). If the appropriate shipping option is not available during the checkout process, please contact us for a shipping estimate.

Free Shipping Promotion

For a limited time, standard UPS ground shipping to the lower 48 United States on orders over $70.00 is free*. To receive free shipping when your order subtotal is greater than $70.00, enter the coupon code freeship7 into the coupon field during checkout. Select the UPS Ground shipping option. The cost will be deducted in the order summary. Free shipping applies only to UPS Ground shipping to the lower 48 United States. First Treks reserves the right to void the discount and charge shipping on ineligible orders. Offer expires 7/1/09.
*Free shipping does not apply to orders including a Deuter Kid Comfort III Child Carrier, Sherpani Rumba Child Carrier, or Solid Maple Child's Sled.

Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on the "ship to" location and package weight. Some larger items may have additional oversize or dimensional weight charges. The actual shipping costs are calculated during the checkout process. You can check the estimated cost for shipping a particular item by clicking the "check shipping cost" link below an item's price and availibility status located in the upper right corner of the item's detail page. Please note: if ordering more than one item, the combined shipping cost may be greater than the shipping cost for a single item. To view the combined shipping cost for an order involving more than one item, add all of the items to your shopping cart and proceed to the checkout process. Shipping options and costs are displayed before credit card information is provided and before the order is finalized. We do our best to keep our shipping costs as low as possible. Please contact First Treks for a shipping quote to foreign addresses (other than Canada).

Ship From Location

All orders ship from our facility in Stowe, Vermont. Occasionally an item will ship directly from a manufacturer and the customer will be notified when this is the case.

Length of Time

We do our best to keep all items we sell on this website in stock and are generally able to ship within 24 hours. Orders placed after 12:00 PM (EST) on Friday or over the weekend are generally shipped the following Monday. Orders placed on a holiday will generally ship the next business day. Occasionally an item will be back-ordered in which case the customer is notified of the estimated delivery time. Delivery time will vary according to the "ship to" destination and shipping method selected.
